Celtics Take 1-0 Series Lead
The Boston Celtics took a 1-0 lead over the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals with a 116-100 victory in Game 1 on Tuesday night at FTX Arena. Boston was in control for most of the game, leading by double digits for much of the second half. Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 29 points, followed by Jaylen Brown with 24 and Marcus Smart with 22.
The Heat were led by Jimmy Butler's 25 points, but they struggled to keep up with the Celtics' offense. Tyler Herro added 18 points, but the rest of the Heat's starters combined for just 37 points.
The Celtics will look to take a 2-0 lead in the series when they host the Heat in Game 2 on Thursday night.
